Solar #10 - First Print vs. Second Print

Solar #10 - First Print

50,000 to 55,000 copies
June 1992

Solar #10 - Second Print
(Roman Numeral II under price)
25,000 to 50,000 copies
Six months after first print

Both versions are solid black with embossed logos.
The Roman numeral "II" on the cover, just below the cover price, indicates
that the book is a second printing.

The first printing was dated June 1992, just before the popular Unity crossover,
and was limited to around 50,000 to 55,000 copies.

The second printing was also dated June 1992, however, the second printing was
sold in stores six months after the first printing, after the Unity crossover,
and therefore, the second printing was on the shelves the same time as Solar #15.

The second printing was probably around 25,000 to 50,000 copies, because Solar #15
had roughly twice the print run, cost only 1/2 as much and was not a second print.
The first and second printings today seem to be equally available in the secondary market,
further indicating that print runs were somewhat similar.
